Have you been looking to do some volunteering for good causes in your community? Do you like helping kids, having fun and feeling like you made a difference? Why not consider joining us and become a member of our Kiwanis club?
The Waterloo Kiwanis Clubs (Downtown and Easy Risers) are excited for the annual Turkey Shoot Charity Bowling Tournament on November 15, 2025, at Maple Lanes bowling center. We are looking for businesses interested in sponsoring this fun bowling tournament in which the proceeds will help support children in the Cedar Valley. Kiwanis service clubs are comprised of volunteers focused on helping children in the communities where they live. All of the proceeds from the tournament will stay in our local community and will be used to support various local charities with a focus on helping children. In past five tournaments over $73,000 was raised and donated back to organizations in the Cedar Valley. The following organizations received donations from the bowling tournament: • The Waterloo Downtown Kiwanis Club donated to the following organizations - Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, NE IA Food Bank, Salvation Army, House of Hope, Waterloo Mayor's Fun Run, Black Hawk-Grundy Mental Health Awareness, Waterloo High School Leadership Conference, Waterloo Public Library Children’s Play Kitchen, Allen Child Protection Center and chartered Special Needs Scout Troop. • The Easy Risers Kiwanis Club donated to the following organizations- Friends of the Family, Rotary Project Warm, Salvation Army, House of Hope, Koats for Kids, NE IA Food Bank, Kiwanis Children's Fund, YMCA, Cedar Valley Angels, and Youth Bowling Scholarship Foundation. The bowling tournament will be promoted locally to league bowlers, nonprofit organizations and businesses who support children in the Cedar Valley. Additionally, across the state of Iowa, Kiwanians will be invited to Waterloo to participate. The anticipated statewide direct contact is around 15,000 individuals with additional event reach using social media channels. Please look at our enclosed sponsor form outlining the specific sponsorship opportunities and the benefits to your organization, including promoting your business before, during and after the event. The enclosed sponsor forms can be emailed to [email protected]. We also encourage you to consider sponsoring a team for a fun afternoon of bowling and team building. Your support helps make this event a success! We would appreciate your consideration of a sponsorship this year. If you have any questions, please contact Anne Britson at 319.231.0623 or email [email protected]. A local Kiwanian will be following up with you regarding this letter to answer any questions. ...
